Did you know by simply replacing grains with broccoli or cauliflower for one week, along with eating garlic, chives and leeks is the first step to beating a fat and sugar addiction. By this way it slowly detoxifies your liver and allows it to start functioning properly. Without proper function of the liver, as describe in my recent post, the sugar consumption over time can cause fat to build up in the liver cells, which decrease the livers ability to metabolize fat and sugars.
Physical signs that the liver may need detoxification are:
Allergies, indigestion, bloating, skin damage, eye problems (spots, red or watery eyes), headaches, hot flashes, insomnia, PMS, muscular pain, head pain and neck tension can occur.
Certain foods can help maintain liver health and cleanse the body naturally. For example, apples contain pectin which helps to bind and excrete toxins in the intestines. This cleanses blood and helps to reduce the load of filtration on the liver.
Listed below are Foods to Eat that Promote Healing and Detoxification of the Liver naturally:
* Beets, carrots, red onions and aubergine contains flavonoids and beta-carotene which are potent antioxidants.
*Garlic contains allicin, an antioxidant and mineral selenium. It assists the removal of heavy metals from the liver.
